Wolverine turns the big 3-5

2009 is Wolverine's 35th anniversary!

To celebrate the broody mutant's years in the comic biz, Marvel will be featuring Wolverine Art Appreciation Variant Covers on it's titles throughout the month of April. Every select title will feature Wolverine in the styles of classic artists such as Salvador Dali, Pabalo Picasso, Andy Warhol, etc.

The photo below is the cover for Captain Britain and MI13 #12 with artwork by Skottie Young in the style of Edward Gorey.

Be sure to check back with Marvel every now and then to see the latest Wolverine Art Appreciation Variant Cover.

While we're still on the topic of Wolverine, check out the latest in Hasbro's Mighty Muggs line:

This Muggy rendition of Logan looks kind of like Hugh Jackman, no? Oh, and speaking of Hugh -- there's a new trailer out for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which hits theaters on May 1.

See the trailer here.
